How to Join

Becoming a member of the San Antonio Wave is a simple process.
All potential members are required to complete a short swim evaluation by a member of the Wave coaching staff.  The evaluation should last no longer than five minutes. 

Simply approach the coach on deck requesting an evaluation, and that coach will then go through the process and answer any questions you may have. The evaluation will consist of swimming one lap of the pool with each stroke the swimmer is capable of completing. The coach will not be looking at the speed of the swimmer, but rather the technique ability for proper group placement. Stronger swimmers may be asked to complete a few other tasks deemed necessary by the coach for evaluating.

Once the evaluation is complete and the swimmer has been assigned to a group, you will then need to acquire the Registration Application and USA Registration forms, which can be found below.  Please fill out both of the applications and submit them to the address on the forms.   In addition to the forms, all new swimmers MUST submit a copy of their birth certificate.  The birth certificate copy will be sent to South Texas Swimming, our Local Swim Committee (LSC).  This copy will not be returned to you, but rather destroyed after registration is properly verified by South Texas Swimming.

Step 1.  Attend a swim evaluation at any of the pools at the times mentioned above.

Step 2.  Download the 2007-2008 Wave Registration Application

Step 4.  Make a copy of the swimmer's birth certificate, and bring with the paperwork.

Step 5.  Complete all pages (pg 3-6) (if you have more than one swimmer joining the team you must complete a JCC Full and Final release form for each swimmer) submit with birth certificate and required fees to:

Note:  You will need at least 65 cents postage on your envelope.  Insufficient postage charges will be added to invoices, if necessary.
