Matt Bos, a 30 year old native of Oak Forest, Illinois is in his 3rd season as head coach for the San Antonio Wave. During his tenure as head coach Bos has produced several Junior National, Senior National, and Olympic Trials swimmers as well as a two-time National High School record holder and National Junior Team member.
In 2008 Jimmy Feigen turned in one of the most impressive individual performances at the high school level setting two National High School records and winning four gold medals at the Texas State 5A Championships. Having already set the National High School records in the 50 (19.65) and 100 (43.41) yard freestyles earlier in the season Feigen lowered both standards once again at the State Championships with times of 19.49 and 43.05. He also anchored two state championships relays with splits of 18.99 in the 200 medley and 42.71 in the 400 freestyle relay. During the 2008 high school season Feigen posted All-American cuts in the 50 and 100 freestyles and well as the 100 fly (48.98) and 200 freestyle (1:41.40).
Feigen a member of the United States National Junior Team also set two National Junior Team records in the 50 meter (23.00) and 100 (50.85) meter freestyles in Melbourne, Australia in January of 2008.
In 2007 as a Junior Feigen won the Texas 5A title in the 50 free and swam personal best times in the 50 free (20.29), 100 Free (44.83), 100 Fly (49.79), and 100 back (51.91). In December Feigen was a finalist at the US Open in Lafayette, Indiana.
In March 2006 the Wave quartet of Will Castro, Mike Majek, Mark Higley, and Feigen swam to an 8th place finish at the US Spring Nationals in Federal Way, Washington. Prior to Spring Nationals Higley along with Feigen placed in the top 3 at the Texas State 5A State Championships in the 50 free (2nd Place – Jimmy Feigen 20.80 & 3rd place – Mark Higley 20.81). Higley also took the runner-up spot in the 100 free 45.76, and swam a personal best 1:40.80 in the 200 freestyle during the season.
Over the past 3 seasons Bos has produced several State qualifiers on the high school and age group levels. Over 10 Wave swimmers have competed as part of the South Texas All-Star team and Zone Championship teams. Several of Bos's senior swimmers have gone on to swim in college, many at top Divison 1 programs such as the University of Texas, University of Southern California, University of Hawaii, Texas Christian University, and Washington State University.
Prior to joining the Wave, Matt was the Director of Competitive Swimming for Swimming Wanganui in New Zealand guiding Wanganui to its first ever national top 20 finish and producing several New Zealand champions.
A former NCAA Division I swimmer for Eastern Illinois University (1996-2000), Matt was a two-time Midwest Classic champion in the 100 breaststroke. After completing his bachelors degree in psychology Matt served as the graduate assistant swim coach for his alma mater guiding the men's team to an undefeated dual meet record and their first ever Midwest Classic Championship in 2002. During this time he also completed a master's degree in athletic administration.
Matt has an extensive range of coaching experience having coached internationally and at the High School, Club, and Collegiate levels in the United States. Matt is a certified Level 4 coach by the American Swim Coaches Association. He has worked with several Junior and Senior National swimmers as well as athletes who have competed at international competitions including the 2004 Athens Olympic Games. Matt has also coached athletes from a multitude of countries including Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, England, Malaysia, Russia, and The Netherlands.
Matt currently resides in San Antonio with his wife, Amanda, who is a 4th grade teacher at Somerset Elementary and is a former division I swimmer at Eastern Illinois. She is also a former assistant swim coach at Trinity University and currently serves as the Camps Director for Swim with the Stars, a swim camp owned by Olympians Michael Phelps, Ian Crocker, & Lenny Krayzelburg. Matt and Amanda have two dogs, Wrigley & Tui, and love to water-ski, fish, and hike in their spare time.

Betsy Ball is an American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) certified Level 3 United States Swimming Coach with over 10 years of extensive experience in stroke development and age group coaching for both USA swim programs and highly successful summer league teams in several states. Coach Betsy's swimmers have achieved "Top 16" national time recognitions in United States Swimming and have broken several team records. She brings a strong background of stroke technique, a love for swimming, and a passion to see kids excel in the sport and in life. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Sacramento and is married with two children.

Coach Lauren has been a member of the WAVE family since she was six years old, 12 years as a swimmer and the last 5 as a coach. She truly loves the sport of swimming. She started her coaching career off at the age of 15 as an assistant summer swim coach for the Hollywood Park Hammerheads. At the age of 17, she was promoted to head coach and just completed her 8th and final year coaching for the Hammerheads. For the San Antonio WAVE, she coaches the elementary/middle school groups at UTSA and just can't get enough of her swimmers energy, insight, and humor! Coach Lauren graduated in May of 2006, with a bachelor's degree in education with teacher certification at the middle school level. She is a 7th grade reading teacher at Rawlinson Middle School.

Angella Woodard has been actively involved with swimming in San Antonio since 1990. In 1995, her daughters joined the Wave, were state age group champions, and received swimming scholarships to NCAA Division I universities. Angella is proficient in swimming related computer software applications. She handles all of the San Antonio Wave's swim meet entries and has served as the Meet Director for team hosted meets. Her involvement in the San Antonio swimming community includes swim meet entry preparation for Alamo Heights High School and Antonian High School; data base management for the Lone Star Summer Swim League and the Maverick Summer Swim League; official scorer/computer operator for San Antonio Independent School District meets hosted at the San Antonio Natatorium. She has served as a member of the San Antonio Wave Board and as Top 16 Tabulator for South Texas Swimming, Inc. Angella received her B.S. in Biology from Texas Tech University.
